Where is God when life throws a curveball? How does God help us? God may or may not change our circumstances, but He has definitely provided us with the greatest of comforts who will never leave nor forsake us - The Holy Spirit, the Forever Friend.

Born again? We may have heard the term too frequently or with too much religious baggage. But it is a radical demand of Jesus. “You must be born again.” Obviously, birth is not something we did for ourselves the first time. Neither can we do it for ourselves the second time. We need the Life Giver! The Third Person.

Cain shrugged off his responsibility, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” The answer is "Yes!” We play a pivotal role in tearing down or building up those around us, through our attitudes, words and actions. By harnessing this power to impact  others, we make a huge investment even in strangers or passing acquaintances
whom God brings along our path.
 

Being in a relationship and fellowship with others is fun while life is good, but when times turn south, relationships get a little bit trickier. Questions such as, “What do I say?”, How can I help?”, and “Should I just stay out of it?” start popping into our heads. It is during those difficult times when we are caught in sin or when life throws us a curveball that we need others most, that is when we need them to bear with us, or remind us of who we are in Christ.

As paradoxical and ironic as it sounds, the Church can struggle with defining meaningful relationships just like the world. We fight against the country club atmosphere everyday in an effort to move us to maturity and to provide a compelling witness to outsiders in our community. Confession is a key ingredient in showing off just how great our God is and the security found in His gospel message. We have nothing to hide anymore in the gospel. May the Lord reform our ways and begin to reshape us as we choose to relate to God and one another in honest, raw, and unrefined ways.

Lots to “chew on.” I doubt if you are just itching to dive in, but the need to give and receive admonishment is huge! Don’t dismiss this one. Your very life may  depend upon it. You need it in your life, and others need you in theirs.
 

Prayer is one tangible activity that makes the church different from other social organizations. And it’s essential to our ability to be the church God desires. We know this; and hopefully this reminder will provoke us to practice it more.
 

This is probably not the first time you have heard a message about serving. You may have not embraced the topic as one of your "favorites." Getting our head on straight about serving one another is more complex than it might seem on the surface. Hopefully, what you have heard will serve you well as you seek to "through love, serve one another." Galations 5:13

Are you surprised? Who would have thought that the simple injunction for us to “greet one another with a holy kiss,” would have so much depth of meaning and application to us today? A 5 star church will seek to develop the kinds of relationships, experiences and values that will make our connections to one another unique and, as they say, ”priceless.”

Indeed, there is a dark side to life when it comes to sexual abuse and addiction. The journey through to the other side is one marked by courage, honesty and faith. The hesitancy to enter the valley speaks on the depth of the damage. But to honor who we have been made to be, and live and love again, the journey is essential. As David discovered, “even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.” Psalm 23:4
 

It is a “how to” you would think everyone would want answered. How to Make Love. Few, however, embrace the only real answer. The relationship between love and sex is profound and powerful. We will be wise and well rewarded if we learn and engage the difference!
 

When it comes to sex, ‘just say yes’ may seem like bad advice in many situations. But is it? What if we had such a positive and holy appreciation of sex, that saying yes meant we embraced it in such a healthy way that we were able to avoid all of the negative issues that attached to immoral sexual conduct? Think about it. Colossians 3:2
 

Money is us. That is the reason it is such a big deal to God. Money can define us, drive us and demand our all. On the other hand, we cannot live without it - at least some of it. Not only is our attitude toward money important to God, so is our  wisdom and skill in managing it. He really does care about our finances
